Smith, Gayle must bowl

West Indies cricket team must modify their strategies in order to win One-Day competitions. Chris Gayle and Dwayne Smith must do some bowling in this type of competition. Twenty overs must be shared between Dwayne Smith, Chris Gayle, Andre Russell and Darren Sammy.

Sheldon Cotterell, Jason Holder and Jerome Taylor will do their 10 overs each. Some sort of system must be introduced for the bowlers to have some rest.

Gayle’s disappointing performance

West Indies senior opening batsman Chris Gayle has not been performing well in the limited overs competition against South Africa. He has to lift his performance in preparation for the World Cup. Gayle is a senior player on the West Indies team and he must show some maturity to the players with less experience.
