In tennis what else is now new? Serena Williams defended her United States Open Singles Tennis title. Everybody in the capacity crowd of more than 20,000 fans from all over the world were amazed how she accomplished that remarkable feat by taking her third-consecutive singles crown and sixth overall since she won her first in 1999.
Some officials, fans, and players became certainly stunned with her performances especially over 10th-seeded Caroline Wozncki of Denmark, 6–3, 6–3, in a quickly contested match to end a very successful Open for her. And she closed out her match with seven aces in the final match.
“Serena Williams has established herself as one of the greatest players of all-time,” said World Tennis Association Chairman and CEO Stacey Allastar.
She has certainly gone into the record books and continuously does so along with those already there such as Stefi Graf, Monica Seles, and Chris Evert just to name a few of the female greats during the Open era. She now is headed toward the BNP Paribas in mid-October.
“She will be a fan-favorite,” Miss Allaster added. “Her success in the finals is an incredible treatment to her ability.”
Players from the Open, which included some big-name men’s upsets, pulled for Williams. She was very much prepared for the tournament and didn’t lose a single set.
Serena certainly has the talent to pull off an incredible moment.
“I didn’t believe that talent can last everything,” said Wozincki. “Williams is a hard worker. When she does that she can pull off that big serve. She has the power. She can push us back on the court and take that inittative. She certainly has the power to do so. I think that makes it even harder.”
”She’s an amazing player,” added another player, who wanted to remain anonymous. “She said a long time ago that nobody can beat her, but only herself can.”

Almost everybody agreed that Serena Williams is an amazing player and she is continuing to look toward a great career.
